Early alerts at the onset of disease in pig herds
Roboscientific took part in a trial in China, organised by Govenment-funded catalyst organisation, Agri-Epi Centre, to test the feasibility of using the Roboscientific proprietary technology for Early Disease Detection in pigs. These trials showed that we can see the changes that might indicate disease in pigs and has led to further trials to start the development of an automatic monitor to sample the air in indoor pig shed to detect disease when it occurs.
A new project is underway in the UK to develop an automatic non-invasive disease detection system to provide alerts to farmers as soon as the disease status in pigs changes.
